African Nations Championship (CHAN) Tournament was hosted by Algeria, Uganda team was received in Annaba city where Uganda National team was playing in Group B that included DRC Congo, Ivory Coast and Senegal   from 11TH -22ndJanuary 2023 .

Uganda team was the first on the table in the group before playing their last match in Mandela Stadium Baraki Stadium in Algiers where they were competed out of the game against Ivory coast.

The tournament was graced  by delegates  from Uganda including the state Minister for Education and sports Hon. Peter Ogwanga, Ambassador to Algeria H.E John Chrysostom Alintuma Nsambu, FUFA Officials, Uganda Embassy Staff, Uganda Community in Algeria and many more
