TOTAL ENERGIES AFRICAN NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP (CHAN) ALGERIA 2022, FINAL DRAW.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Saturday 01 October 2022 at The Opera House in Algeria's capital Algiers held the draw for the 2022 Total Energies African Nations Championship (CHAN) to be hosted by Algeria from 13 January to 4 February 2023.
Uganda’s delegation was led by the FUFA President and CAF Exco Member Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim, Mr. Edgar Watson CEO FUFA Uganda Mr. Ntenge Patrick, Teams Manager and Uganda Cranes Head Coach Milutin Sredojevic. While in Algiers, the team was received by: His Excellency Ambassador Alintuma Nsambu: HOM, Uganda Embassy Algeria, Mr. Stephen Mushana: Counsellor and Ms. Damalie Twinomugisha: CCO, Uganda Embassy, Algeria
For the first time, 18 countries will participate in the event - an increase from 16 teams and Uganda Cranes qualified for the 6th successive time to compete at CHAN finals.
The participating countries are: Algeria (host country), Morocco, Libya, Senegal, Mali, Mauritania, Ivory Coast, Niger, Ghana, Cameroon, Congo, DR Congo, Uganda, Sudan, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Angola and Madagascar.
The Opera House, the beautiful architectural building in Algeria's capital Algiers, will host the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) Algeria 2022, final draw.
