At the invitation of His Excellency Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, undertook a four-day State Visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria from 11th -14th March 2023

His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was received by his host H.E. Abelmadjid Tebboune at El Mouradia Palace with ceremonial honours. President Museveni was accompanied by Ministers and other Senior Government Officials.

Their Excellencies hailed the progress made in the following areas of cooperation: trade and investment; culture and tourism; agriculture, agro-processing, livestock and fisheries; education; defense and police matters; health; science and technology; energy, oil and gas.

Their Excellencies witnessed the signing of the following cooperation Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding:

1. Cooperation Agreement in the field of Agriculture.
2. Cooperation Agreement in the field of Animal Health.
3. MoU in the field of Energy
4. MoU in the field of Trade
5. MoU in the field of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
6. MoU in the field of Tourism
7. MoU between Uganda National Oil Company and SONATRACH

President Yoweri Museveni expressed his gratitude to President Tebboune, the Government and the people of Algeria for the warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to him and his delegation.
