On 17th December 2023, Hon John Mulimba, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs/Regional Affairs  led Uganda's delegation at the 10th High level seminar on Peace and Security under the theme "Assisting  African Members on the UN Security Council in Preparing to address Peace and Security issues on the  continent" from 17- 18 December 2023 in Oran, Algeria.

He also held a  sideline meeting with the Algerian Minister for Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad H.E Ahmed Attaf Where they discussed the upcoming NAM and G77+China meetings to be held between 15th - 28th January 2024 and other issues of bilateral interest.
